The Master Course is for anyone who wishes to operate a U.S. Coast Guard inspected vessel, up to 100 Tons, and may carry more than six persons for hire.  The course meets the requirements for Inland and Near Coastal routes.  The tonnage and route restrictions will be based on your Sea Time (experience). 

     Any applicant who has successfully completed our Master 100 Tons course and presents their Certificate of Training within one year of the completion of training, will satisfy the examination requirements for original issuance (46 CFR 11.205(f)), for renewal (46 CFR 10.227(d)(8)(i)(B)), and for reissuance (46 CFR 10.227(g)) of any deck officer credential up to Master of Not More Than 100 Gross Tons upon Near Coastal, or Great Lakes & inland, or Inland Waters.

     This is an 80-hour course that runs every day from Monday through the following Wednesday.  The class hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  All materials needed to complete the course are provided. The Coast Guard mandates 100% attendance.
